Ian Hipwell

As a Senior Site Supervisor at Ducon, I lead site delivery across a wide range of projects, supporting our supervisors and site teams to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Having been with Ducon for over 10 years and with more than 20 years in the industry, I bring a strong level of experience and consistency to the role, often acting as a steady point of guidance across multiple projects.

With a background in carpentry, I take a hands-on approach to site management, working closely with trades, subcontractors, and clients to keep projects moving and resolve issues as they arise. A big part of my role is coordinating teams in live environments, where planning, communication, and safety are critical.

I hold a Diploma in Building and Construction and an Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying, which supports a strong understanding of both practical delivery and compliance requirements. I focus on delivering practical solutions, maintaining quality, and ensuring every project is completed in line with expectations.
