Built around readiness.

At Corio Station that meant building a sealed PPE transition room inside a live motor room in 14 days, with crews still rolling the whole time.

More about emergency services
1
What mattered

A sealed, climate-controlled PPE transition room had to be built inside the existing motor room at an operational fire station, without reducing safe access for emergency response at any point across the 14-day program.

2
What we did

All works were planned with the user group to minimise disruption to FRV operations, sealing the new room from the engine bays it adjoins with a new fresh-air intake for climate control.

3
What it achieved

Delivered within the nominated 14-day timeframe, letting the on-duty platoon move their PPC out of a storeroom and into a purpose-built space that cuts exposure to diesel particulates.
