Built around care.
At Frankston's mammography unit that meant sequencing two full suite rebuilds, one staff decant at a time, inside an 80-year-old hospital that never stopped admitting patients.
More about healthcareA new mammography suite and simulation suite had to be built into an 80-year-old hospital building that could not stop admitting, with the staff occupying the mammography space needing to relocate before that stage could even start.
Delivery ran in two agreed stages, the simulation suite first, which released the staff accommodation stage two needed, with mechanical, fire, hydraulic, medical gas and electrical services upgraded throughout and equipment suppliers coordinated directly so commissioning ran first time.
Both suites were delivered in a live clinical environment across 2023, with Peninsula Health thanking the team for its “hard work and dedication in delivering outcomes.”
