Built around learning.

At Hampton Park that meant turning a dead garden space into a genuine outdoor classroom, on a fixed $39,000 budget, in four weeks.

More about education
1
What mattered

A fixed, small budget had to fund a genuine outdoor teaching space out of an underused back-of-house garden, leaving no contingency to correct a wrong design call later.

2
What we did

The design was developed to the fixed budget alongside the architect rather than priced after the fact, using layered planting and durable materials, coloured concrete, cypress, marine-grade stainless, granite and Corten steel, built for daily student use.

3
What it achieved

A functioning teaching and gathering space delivered in four weeks, given the same design attention as a capital project despite its $39,000 scope.
