Built around learning.
At Skipton that meant modernising an 1888 heritage school, the only primary school serving the district, without a single lost term, because there was nowhere else for the children to go.
More about educationAs the only primary school serving the district, with no alternative site to decant to, an 1888 heritage building had to be modernised, new admin space, extension, refurbishment and grounds, without losing a single term.
Works were staged around the school calendar, with construction zones and trade access kept separate from student movement, site personnel screened to school requirements, heritage detailing planned around the 1888 red-brick building, and external works sequenced last so access and play areas returned progressively.
New administration space, refurbished learning areas and reworked grounds delivered in stages, with the district's only primary school never losing a day of teaching.
